Duddings is situated on Exmoor in the Avill valley, around 3 miles inland from the West Somerset coast. Located within 4 hours of London, the Midlands and the tip of Cornwall, and 1.5 hours from Bristol, it’s easily accessible for both long and short breaks.
Entrance for The West Wing & The Annexe
Travelling from Bridgwater/M5 Junc 23 (approx 50 mins) Follow signs for Minehead on the A39. Continue on this road until you reach Williton. Turn right at the mini-roundabout (still on the A39). After several miles turn left for Dunster (A396) & drive through the village. After 2 miles you will find Duddings on the right, just after the entrance to Knowle Manor (before entering Timberscombe). If you are for the West Wing or The Annexe turn right through the 5-barred gate (see picture on left) & drive past the thatched house to the small courtyard where there are 3 parking spaces allocated to The West Wing & 1 for The Annexe. All other cottages should continue for 150 yards to our main car park. Walk down the drive and through the courtyard. Ring the ‘enquiries’ bell at the front of the main house & we will show you to your cottage.
Travelling from Taunton/M5 Junc 25 (approx 45 mins)
Follow signs to Minehead to avoid the town centre. Continue on the A358 until you reach Williton. Turn left at the mini-roundabout onto the A39, and follow the directions as above.
Travelling from Tiverton/the South
On the A396 (Tiverton to Dunster road) you will find our main car park about 1/3 mile on the left hand side after passing through Timberscombe village.
