- Facilities at Duddings
- Indoor heated pool & spa bath - open all the year. Changing & shower facilities. The pool is flat-bottomed & heated to 30 degrees & is 11m x 5m (36ft x 16ft 6"). The depth is 1.15m (45") so is ideal for teaching the young ones to swim in. Shoes to be removed & left at door. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. A code will be required to gain access. Pool & Spa bath are heated by our wood chip biomass boiler.
- Games room - pool table, table tennis table, table football and mini trampoline. 3-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, with magazines to hand. A great place to relax, or watch the kids playing! Toilet facilities are next door.
- Shetland Ponies - Our Shetland ponies, Zag (dark brown & white skewbald, born 15/5/2008) and his son Zebedee (Skewbald light brown and white, born 6/6/2022) can usually be found grazing in the pony field by the play paddock. In another field there is a Dartmoor Cross called Dixie (mainly brown) who is Zebedee's mother, & her daughters Ziggy (mainly white born 8/5/2020) & Zippy (light brown & white skewbald, born 24/4/2021). Zag is the father of all the younger ponies. They spend most of their time eating! In the spring when the grass grows very lush and sweet, they would eat until they burst if we did not stop them. They love occasional treats of carrots/apples - no sticky buns please !
- Gate Lodge Play Centre - 2-story playhouse with swings, a slide, a fireman’s pole and assault course to clamber over. Great fun for smaller children, with a table and bench nearby so that the adults can stay close by and watch.
- Hard tennis court - operates on a "turn up & play" system. Racquets & balls available to borrow from the shed by the recycle bins.
- Trampoline - 14ft round with protective barrier netting. Adult supervision required. Please remove shoes.
- Football net - situated in the "play paddock" where guests often play cricket or badminton, fly kites etc. 2 Picnic benches. Please keep dogs on a lead in this area.
- 9 acres of land to explore, with picnic areas and a safe river where you may spot a brown trout (if the heron hasn't got them all)
- Drying Room - now available by our boiler shed to dry your wet clothes, boots etc
- Information Room - situated in the secondary courtyard. Brochures, children's books etc. Upright freezer & tumble dryer for general use.
- Recycle Centre - We recycle plastic bottles, cardboard & paper, metal cans, juice containers, glass bottles & food waste.
